Hi Franklins! This past Thursday, October 22nd, we held our semesterly Research Night event. This event serves as an opportunity for upperclassmen to gain experience with presenting their research and a forum for underclassmen to learn more about research at NC State and how to get involved. We had five presentations, ranging on topics from modeling illicit markets through a board game to studying robocall campaigns to analyzing the budgets of the National Park Service.
One of the main takeaways from the event was that students shouldn’t be afraid to email and reach out to professors regarding research opportunities. If you were unable to attend the event and would like to watch the recording, here’s the link! We’re excited to host this event again in the spring semester and learn more about the research Franklins are doing.
